Goals of Mercy Home

The primary goal of Mercy Ministry Happy Children's Home is:

“To support underprivileged children who suffer due to national, social and economic difficulty”. 

Mercy Home desires to create opportunities for underprivileged children to change their lives and exists to help the children grow into well-educated, motivated children, who are well behaved and mentally, physically and spiritually healthy.Mercy Home changes the lives of street children by:

 

*Providing nutritional meals to street children in Addis Ababa.
*Providing education for the children living in the center, including provision of
  school supplies, uniforms and tuition.
*To provide health care, as well as psychological and emotional support, to children
  who still suffer due to the difficulties of having lived on the streets.
*To provide children with a healthy, safe, and disciplined environment in which to 
  live, work and play.


Current Staff of Mercy Home

Listed below are the names and positions of the key staff members of Mercy Ministry Happy Children's Home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  All of these staff positions are volunteer.  The only paid staff of Mercy Home are the cook and the guard.

Future Plans

The goal of Mercy Home is to raise and maintain the amount of children in the home to twenty and to raise the number of children supported outside of the home to as many as fifty.  Mercy Home is working jointly with the Kolfe Keranio Subcity Team Leader to accomplish these goals.  In time, Mercy Ministry Happy Children's Home wants to start its own school to educate the children of Ethiopia.
